My Summer Picks.

This season, prepare to be wrapped in heavenly fabrics, poured with paisley, bare-ing in bralets and pretty in pastels. Notepads at the ready, as I'm about to list my six personal favourite trends and how to wear them;

Printed Trousers


An 80's favourite, and an instant update to any outfit this season. You can even wear it with the most basic pieces, and still achieve an eye-popping outfit. From palazzo to slim, the choices are endless! Think silk, pyjama style, and above all; comfort. 

Starlets in Bralet's


A sassy take on the 'underwear as outerwear', this 90's trend is storming the streets this season. It can be teamed with absolutely anything; matching trousers for the ultimate pin-up look, a high waisted or prim pencil skirt for ultimate lady-likeness, a sheer shirt and high waisted shorts for that extra bit of confidence, anything! Just remember; less is more, a flash of your upper torso is more than enough to get those heads turning.

Plain T's


With prints being so big this season, you'd be mad to leave this staple out! Whether it's oversized, v-neck, sheer or cropped, this is one thing you simply cannot go without.

A Pinch of Peplum


As introduced by Christian Dior in the 1940's, the peplum has re-surfaced yet again! And no wonder, it's the perfect shape for women of all sizes, it both conceals and adds curves in all the right places. For that extra 'wow factor' go for much richer fabrics, such as silk, and team with some figure-hugging bottoms to get those jaws dropping!

Perfect Pyjamas and Crazy Paisley


Spotted at Stella McCartney and Jil Sander, paisley retained a boho air on many catwalks this season. Think statement pieces teamed with block colours. Recently spotted on none other than Alexa Chung at the House of Holland's A/W 2012 show, swirling it's way into the spotlight. From luxe to boho, the possibilities for this print are endless. It is a complete must-have.

Palatable Pretty's


Sugary shades is possibly the strongest trend this season, spotted on everything, everywhere! To keep it simple, invest in a classic frock in mint, lemon, lilac or pink to tick this one off your list.  But if that doesn't quite satisfy that sweet tooth of yours, soar into sorbet with a head to toe  two-piece suit, and layer for that added sugar rush. Dip in; I dare you!
